It had to happen. The inevitable. I have heard the stories and seen the results of children gone wild with a pair of scissors. I had managed to escape until Monday. After bathing Analese I noticed her hair falling out. Falling out in HUGE chunks. It scared me. My brain went berserk thinking of all sorts of reasons my babies hair was falling out and none of them were good. I gave her hair a good combing and a more thourough examination at which time I could see clear evidence of a terrible haircut. I calmly asked her what had happened to her hair? “Ummmm. Grayson did it.” WHAT? Now I am not so calm and yelling for my son to “get down here right this instant“!” The story goes as such. Analese was jumping on the trampoline. She tried to get out of said trampoline and one of her braids caught in the zipper of the opening. She was stuck and crying so big brother had the brilliant idea of getting the scissors. Intent? Cut off the braid. Of course! Logical. When brother returned with scissors Analese had managed to free herself. Whew. Brother sets scissors down on BBQ in FULL view of 3 year old sister. Minutes pass, temptation arises and voila! New do. And you can certainly call 1/4 inch bangs on only one side of your face a new do. Seeing as how the alternative was one braid I am thanking

God for small favors.

Well, you always wanted to try “bangs” on Analese. What a story. It could have been so much worse. I can’t believe Grayson was going to cut the braid. What a guy. I’ll see you all in 18 days. Can’t wait.
It seems very, very short bangs runs in the family! Sorry I couldn’t resist.
Ah, one of the more painful milestones as a parent. At least she’s only three. Ty did his own version of the “Dumb and Dumber” haircut when he was seven!
Samantha was into Dora and Diego…which i thought was great…they actually answer the TV, so i know they are somewhat coherent. now…spoonge bob…squidward…and the awful, gross, disturbing, Patrick! the sad thing is, my husband enjoys this as well…so i’m fighting a losing battle! stephanie however…in her cute age of 22 months…still loves dora…and listening to her shout out answers is just hysterical!! everyone now and then she actually gets one right!!
Ha! This reminds me of the “Two cut-off braids” story. Hee hee.
Haha! I thought of the “two cut-off braids” story too. Priceless!
